Suspect arrested for burglarizing Needles Animal Control offices.

SUSPECT(S): Joseph Collier, 45-year-old, male resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): City of Needles - Animal Control
SUMMARY: On 12/08/2019, deputies responded to the report of a commercial burglary at the City of Needles -Animal Control Office. Employees noticed several locks had been cut leading to a storage shed and several bags of dog food, miscellaneous cleaning supplies, and dog treats were stolen from the location. Deputies identified Joseph Collier as the suspect. Collier was contacted at his residence and was found in possession of the stolen items.
Deputy Blackard arrested Collier for PC459-Burglary. Collier was transported and booked into the Colorado River Station Jail. Collier is being held on $25,000 bail.
A large portion of these pet supplies are funded by donations from the residents of Needles. The shelter needs these items to care for the animals in their facility.
