SUBJECT: Suspect Arrested; Charged with Invasion of Privacy

LOCATION: Aldrin Road in the Twinbrook Apartment Complex in Ocean Township

ACCUSED: Yug Patel, 27 year old male of Ocean, NJ

NARRATIVE: On December 7, 2019 at approximately 11:50 pm, patrol officers were dispatched to an apartment building on Aldrin Road for a report of a suspicious person who was looking into windows. Upon the officers arrival, they spoke to the victim and two other subjects on scene. One of the subjects advised that he observed the accused outside of the bathroom window of another apartment and went outside to confront him. Once the accused was confronted, he then left the area in his vehicle. During the follow up investigation by Detectives Orbach and Legg, Yug Patel was identified as a suspect. Officers responded to Patel’s address and he was taken into custody. Detective Orbach and Legg conducted an interview of Patel and he was ultimately charged with Invasion of Privacy, Criminal Attempt and Criminal Trespass. Patel was processed and released on a summons pending a future court appearance. Anyone with similar incidents within the Twinbrook Apartments please contact Detective Orbach at 732-531-1428.
