25th Annual Shop with a Cop event
25th ANNUAL “SHOP WITH A COP” EVENT TO TAKE PLACE DECEMBER 7, 2019 AT GREEN BAY AREA WAL-MART STORES
Green Bay, Wis. – The 25th annual “Shop with a Cop” event will take place on Saturday, December 7, 2019. In addition to giving the children a unique opportunity to shop for presents for their family members with a member of a local police department, this program helps to foster positive community relations between law enforcement and elementary school children. Over 165 children will participate in this year’s event.
The day begins with a breakfast attended by the children and the law enforcement volunteers donated by area McDonald’s Restaurants. The children and officers are then transported to area Wal-Mart stores where the officers assist the children as they select and wrap the perfect gifts for their family members.
This program is made possible by the men and women in law enforcement, program sponsors, and individuals in the community who have contributed to the program. Major sponsors for the Shop with a Cop event are Wal-Mart, NBC26, and Green Bay Press Gazette. Additional sponsors include, Lamers Bus Lines, McDonalds, Nicolet National Bank, Kwik Trip, Woody’s Wheels, Brown County Community Women’s Club, Knights of Columbus #10243, Green Bay Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #2, Oneida Nation, Promotional Designs, Inc., De Pere Christian Outreach, Ben Bartolazzi Real Estate Team, Papa John’s, Nature’s Way, Brown County Correctional Officers Benevolent, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Green Bay.
