At approximately 6:25 a.m. today, Friday, December 6, school officials were made aware of a non-specific threat that may involve or be associated with a Nekoosa School District student(s). In consultation with the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department, we do not believe the threat relates to Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools and school will be in session. However, parents who do not feel comfortable sending their child to school today can make that decision and call a student in to be absent. We will have additional law enforcement presence in our schools today, and the situation will continue to be closely monitored.
