Deputy Chris Byrd of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Benjamin Franklin Cody Perkins, 27, address listed as Ramsey Drive in Nebo, with possession of methamphetamine.
                At 1:22 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, Byrd was on patrol on Wildlife Road in Nebo, when he passed a truck sitting off the side of the road and a man lying near it.
                Further investigation revealed that the man was Perkins, and he had three outstanding warrants for his arrest.
                A search of Perkins’s person turned up .8 gram of methamphetamine.
