...PERIOD OF ACCUMULATING SNOW WITH SOME BLOWING SNOW TONIGHT FOR THE WESTERN SLOPES... .An upper level disturbance will increase low-level moisture and upslope northwesterly flow this evening, bringing a period of accumulating snow showers and some areas of blowing snow, making roadways slick and reducing visibilities at times. This will last into early Thursday morning.
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph will also result in some areas of blowing snow.
* WHERE...Western Greenbrier County.
* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 AM EST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. Gusty winds could produce areas of blowing snow, reduced visibilities, and even some downed tree branches.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A Wind Advisory is also in effect from noon today through 6am Thursday.
