* WHERE...Avery, Yancey, Mitchell, Caldwell Mountains, Greater Caldwell, Burke Mountains, Greater Burke, McDowell Mountains and Eastern McDowell Counties.
* WHEN...From noon Wednesday to 6 AM EST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest wind gusts are expected to occur at elevations above 3500 feet, and in particular the ridgetops and mountain peaks, late Wednesday afternoon and early Wednesday night.
