The National Weather Service has updated the weather alert for our area starting Sunday morning 12/1, continuing into the day and evening on Monday 12/2, and ending the morning of Tuesday 12/3. (See Below). Residents are reminded to remove their vehicles from township roadways in the event snow does accumulate and the DPW has to declare an "Official Plow" to clear snow and ice from the roadways.
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST TUESDAY...
* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of
2 to 4 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze.
* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey, Southern Fairfield
Connecticut, Southern Westchester New York.
* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact holiday travel as well as the morning
or evening commute on Monday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There will be two parts to this winter
storm. Snow this morning changes to a wintry mix later today and
eventually plain rain tonight. Rain eventually changes back to
snow Monday and continues into Monday night.

Slow down and use caution while traveling.
