* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 12 inches and ice accumulations of up to one quarter of an inch.

* WHERE...Western Passaic and Western Bergen New Jersey, Northern Fairfield Connecticut, and much of the Lower Hudson Valley.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice. Travel could be nearly impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact holiday travel as well as the morning or evening commute on Monday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There will be two parts to this winter storm. Snow this morning changes to a wintry mix later today into tonight. The wintry mix changes back to snow Monday and continues into Monday night.
