Traffic stop leads to the arrest of Fort Branch man on Methamphetamines charge.

On November 30, 2019, at 10:48 a.m. Deputy U.B. Smith conducted a traffic stop on a Silver 2008 GMC Envoy on Park Street near US 41 in Fort Branch after observing the driver 47-year-old Bruce Brady Jr. drive the vehicle from Casey’s General Store without any other occupants in the vehicle. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Smith observed Mr. Brady throw drug paraphernalia from the vehicle. At that point Deputy Smith notified Mr. Brady that he was being stopped for a learner permit violation. Deputy Smith then detained Mr. Brady and began a roadside drug investigation. At the conclusion of his investigation Deputy Smith transported Mr. Brady to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Possession of Paraphernalia and Possession of Methamphetamines. He remains in custody on a $750 bond. This is an ongoing investigation.
