SANTA PARADE 2019: Parade Date: Saturday, November 30, 2019 Starting at 1PM, SHARP!! Parade Line Up is between 12 Noon and 1PM in the Upper Plane Street Parking Lot, located behind the 800 & 900 Blocks of Main Street. Participants are asked to assemble in the lower portion of the Upper Plane Street Lot near Canal Side Park. The parade will flow from the parking lot, travel west on Main Street and turn onto North Main Street, finishing at Santa Land located near the Water Department Building. The Rain/Snow Date for the parade is Sunday, Dec. 1st, 2019 at 1PM. TRAFFIC AND PARKING ALERT FOR 2019 SANTA PARADE: On Saturday, November 30, 2019, the following roads and areas will be effected prior to and during, the 2019 Santa Parade. The following street closures and parking regulations will apply: THE STREETS BELOW WILL BE CLOSED: From 12:45 PM to Approximately 2:30PM Main Street from Boonton Avenue to Essex Avenue. Plane Street at the (Western End), but portions will remain open east bound onto Lower Main Street, (heading towards Town Hall.) Liberty Street at the intersection with Main Street. Hill Street at the intersection with Pine Street Highland Avenue at the intersection with Hill Street. North Main Street at the intersection of Hillside Avenue. The Main Street Detour Route is as follows: For (eastbound ) traffic on Main Street, the detour route will be, Essex Avenue to Rockaway Street to Morris Avenue and back onto Main Street. For (westbound) traffic on Main Street, the detour route will be, Boonton Avenue to Cedar Street to Highland Avenue to Hill Street to Hillside Avenue to North Main Street and then onto Powerville Road Main Street will remain open in both directions, East of the intersection of Boonton Avenue. EMERGENCY PARKING REGULATIONS for SANTA PARADE 2019 Parking will be prohibited on Main Street, both sides from Boonton Avenue to N. Main Street, from NOON until 2:30PM Parking in the Upper Plane Street Lot will be prohibited on the Fence side (East Side) of the Lot from 7:00AM until 2:30PM. Parking on North Main Street will be prohibited from Highland Avenue to just beyond the Water Building, from 9:00AM to 2:30PM hours. Parking on the ODD Side of Hill Street, between Highland and Hillside will be prohibited. This prohibition will be from NOON until 2:30PM.This will ensure, adequate space for the safe and orderly flow of traffic in this area of the detour route. The Rain Date is Sunday, Dec. 1st, 2019.
