DETAILS:  Ptl. Crawford was detailed to a burglary alarm at the Butterfly Nail Studio. Upon his arrival he observed that a rear door had been pried and damaged. Investigation determined that a Black male wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with black pants, used a pry bar to force his way into the back of the store. After he walked into the back of the store, the audible alarm sounded, he looked around and then left the same way he entered.

DETAILS:  Ptl. K. LaForge was detailed to the Target store for a shoplifter being detained by Assets Protection. Investigation determined that Juan Ferrer-Villalobos selected two containers of baby formula (valued at $80.98), put them into the shopping cart he was using, and then placed a purse over the items to cover them up. He then selected two cases of water, went to the self-checkout, paid for the water but not the baby formula, and exited the store. Ferrer-Villalobos was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at West Windsor Municipal Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Collins investigated Criminal Mischief that was done to the tennis courts located at Avalon Princeton Junction. It was reported that holes were cut in the fence surrounding the courts and part of the fence had been pulled down. Various items were thrown onto the courts which caused damage to the court surface. Cost to repair the damage was estimated to be $8,000.00.

DETAILS:  Patrol units were detailed to the AT&T store for two suspects who had just stolen a phone. Ptl. Hojnacki investigated and determined the following: Two Black males in their late teens asked the sales person if he had an iPhone XR in stock. While the sales person was preoccupied looking for the requested item, one of the suspects cut the cable securing a black iPhone 11 that was on display, setting off an alarm. The suspects then hurriedly left the store with the phone.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Crawford initiated a stop on a silver Nissan sedan for failing to stay within its lane of travel several times, and for speeding. After the vehicle stopped, it went into reverse and started backing up. Ptl. Crawford had to back his police vehicle up as well to avoid a crash. After the vehicle came to a complete stop, the driver, Mark Hicks was found to be DWI. Hicks was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at West Windsor Municipal Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Mahon was detailed to the Target store for a shoplifter being detained by Assets Protection. Investigation determined that Sylvia Foley, who worked for a vendor contracted by Target for sampling events, selected items and put them into a shopping cart which was then pushed into a back room. In the back room, Foley concealed $173.74 worth of merchandise into a Target shopping bag. After the event, Foley paid for the other items in her shopping cart, but not the items concealed in the Target bag. Foley was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at West Windsor Municipal Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Knox was detailed to the U.S. Post Office for a burglary to a vehicle. Investigation determined that the victim parked her car in front of the main entrance to the Post Office. While she was inside for approximately 10 minutes, someone smashed out her rear door window, entered her car, and stole her backpack and a brown leather tote.

DETAILS:  Patrol units were detailed to the buybuy BABY store for fraudulent activity involving suspects who were in the store. They were detained by officers as they were attempting to leave. Investigation determined the following: Gabrielle Jones and Ashley Marbley had shoplifted almost $1,700.00 worth of merchandise from the buybuy BABY store in Bridgewater, NJ earlier in the day. They were in the West Windsor store attempting to return those very same items without a receipt for cash/credit. Marbley was found to be a “Wanted Person” in both Delaware County, PA and Marple, PA, while Jones had a warrant for her arrest from Cherry Hill, NJ. Both Jones and Marbley were processed at WWPD Headquarters. Jones was released pending future Court dates at Mercer County Superior Court and Cherry Hill. Marbley was transported to the Mercer County Corrections Center to await extradition to Pennsylvania.

DETAILS:  Patrol units were detailed to the Burlington department store for a shoplifter who had stolen two jackets and left the store. Officers located the shoplifter, Reginald McCoy, inside the TJ Maxx store. Investigation determined that McCoy, who falsely identified himself as “William Palmer” to officers, selected two jackets and used a cutting tool to remove the security sensors from them. He then concealed the two jackets under the oversized sweatshirt he was wearing. McCoy was also found to be a “Wanted Person” out of Mercer County and to have a warrant for his arrest from Lawrence Twp. McCoy was processed at WWPD Headquarters. He was transported to the Mercer County Corrections Center where he was committed.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Cuomo was detailed to the Mercer County Community College, Language Arts building on the report of a fire. West Windsor Emergency Services, West Windsor Fire, Princeton Junction Fire, and surrounding Fire Departments also responded. Investigation determined the following: College Security were alerted to a smoke alarm coming from the second floor woman’s bathroom in the Language Arts building. Security arrived to find a heavy smoke condition coming from the bathroom, so the building was evacuated to await the arrival of fire and emergency services. After the fire was extinguished, it was discovered that someone had set fire to the toilet paper dispenser in one of the stalls. The plastic dispenser burned and melted, causing the heavy black smoke.

DETAILS:  Sgt. Bal and Ptl. Abade were monitoring heavy traffic on U.S. Route 1 northbound in the area of Alexander Rd. from a private driveway. While doing so, Ptl. Abade observed a silver Chevrolet sedan crash into the rear of an Acura sedan. Both vehicles then made their way to the shoulder of the roadway, but while the Acura stopped, the Chevrolet sedan kept going. Ptl. Abade checked for injuries to the occupants of the Acura, while Sgt. Bal went to intercept the fleeing Chevrolet and initiated a motor vehicle stop on it. The driver of the Chevrolet, Jobeenscy Alexis, was found to have a suspended license and to have one warrant each for her arrest from, Mt. Laurel, South Brunswick, and Plainsboro. Jobeenscy was processed at WWPD Headquarters. She was released pending future Court dates in West Windsor, Mt. Laurel, South Brunswick, and Plainsboro.
