Dear San Leandro Community,
 
On behalf of the men and women of the San Leandro Police Department, I would like to wish you all a happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday. I am humbled to serve as your Police Chief and would like to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for the community’s continued support, partnership, and trust.  Serving the City of San Leandro is a true honor and it warms my heart to see the collaboration between the department and our community as we work together to improve the quality of life for everyone that lives, works, and plays in our City.  Each new day brings us so much more to be thankful for.  
 
I’d also like to take a moment to thank all of our sworn, professional staff, and volunteers who will be working during the holiday to keep our community safe.  I am truly thankful for their dedication, commitment, and professionalism to public safety and to serve around the clock with compassion, empathy, and excellence.
 
We have a lot to be thankful for in San Leandro.  Thanksgiving is a great time for all of us to reflect on matters that we appreciate, care for, and love. I’m very thankful for you and your contributions to our wonderful community.  Let us be thankful for one another and for living in a City that is kind and welcoming.
