SUPPORT LOCAL MERCHANTS - SHOP SMALL SATURDAY NOVEMBER 30TH AND ALL HOLIDAY SEASON LONG.
 
AMERICAN LEGION PANCAKE BREAKFAST will be held on Sunday, December 1 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Legion.  Please bring a toy donation for Marines Toys for Tots.  SANTA and MRS. CLAUS will be there until 11:30 am.  Cost is $5 for pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, toast and coffee/tea/juice.
 
WCA 3rd ANNUAL WALDWICK READING OF THE POLAR EXPRESS will take place on 11/29, 11/30 & 12/1, 12/7, 12/8, 12/15 with show times at 2:00 pm, 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm.  12/13 show at 7:00 pm only.  Cost $10 per person.  Please see flyer for complete details.
 
DECORATE THE WALDWICK TREE AT BC WINTER WONDERLAND AT VAN SAUN COUNTY PARK - Borough of Waldwick residents are invited to decorate our very own Town Tree at Bergen County’s Winter Wonderland at Van Saun County Park. The tree will have a Borough of Waldwick sign identifying it. Any resident can add decorations to our Town Tree from December 2nd through December 6th from 7:00 am to dusk. Please bring your own decorations to add to the tree. If you are unable to visit the Winter Wonderland we invite you to drop decorations off at Borough Hall and we will add them to the tree. WALDWICK LIONS CLUB CHRISTMAS TREE SALE will take place Thursday, December 5 – Sunday, December 8 while supplies last.
 
CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING sponsored by the Waldwick Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and Girl Scout Troop 97184 will take place on Friday, December 6 at 7:00 pm in front of the Waldwick Public Library.  All are invited to attend!
 
WALDWICK LIONS CLUB CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PARTY will take place Sunday, December 8 from 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm in the Administration Building, 63 Franklin Turnpike.  All children from Waldwick are invited to come meet Santa and receive a gift.
 
VETERANS CHRISTMAS DINNER will be held on Friday, December 13, 6:30 pm at the Legion.  All veterans are invited to attend to the FREE Christmas Dinner sponsored by the Waldwick Women's Club.
 
ARMY/NAVY GAME at the Legion on Saturday, December 14.  "Captain Jack's Turkey Shack" dinner will be served (turkey, side dishes, sandwiches, etc).  Appetizers & dinner start at 1:00 pm; game starts at 3:00 pm.  Cost is $5.
 
BLUE CHRISTMAS SERVICE of prayer, scripture and music will be held at St. Luke's Church, 340 Franklin Turnpike, Ho-Ho-Kus on Friday, December 20 at 7:00 pm.  See flyer for more details.  All are welcome.
 
MENORAH LIGHTING CEREMONY will take place on December 22 at 4:30 pm in front of the Waldwick Public Library.  All are invited to attend!

WALDWICK COMMUNITY ROUNDTABLE The next in a series of Community Roundtables will take place on Saturday, December 14 at 10:00 am at the Waldwick Library in the George Fredricks Meeting Room.
 
Borough Clerk Kelley Halewicz, RMC/CMC and Council President Don Sciolaro will be present to provide an overview of recent activity and events. They will answer questions and address issues of concern. The Community Roundtable program was created in response to residents who are unable to attend Mayor & Council meetings during the week but wanted to be kept informed.

LEAF COLLECTION BY DISTRICT - Leaves will be picked up by voting district.  Voting districts are listed on the home page of the Borough’s website - waldwicknj.org.
 
Second round of Leaf Collection by DistrictDistrict 4 – November 19, completed; District 6 – November 22, completed; District 3 – December 2; District 5 – December 5; District 1 – December 10 and District 2 – December 16.
 
After leaf collection ends, residents must BAG THEIR LEAVES IN BIODEGRADABLE PAPER BAGS and bring to the Recycling Center, 19 Industrial Park during normal business hours (Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 3:00 pm and Saturdays 9:00 am - 1:00 pm) or keep leaves on your property until the Grass-Brush/Branch collection begins in April 2020.
 
REMINDER – CARDBOARD RECYCLING ONLY on Wednesday, December 4. MUST BE CURBSIDE BY 6:00 am
 
**NEW RULES FOR GARBAGE BULK PICK UP:  Borough ordinance permits a maximum of 2 bulk items per garbage pickup to be placed curbside.  Bulk items are limited to household furniture including couches, dressers, mattresses, etc.
 
**NEW RULES FOR GARBAGE COLLECTION: Borough Ordinance permits a maximum of four (4) 50 gallon/50 lbs. containers, or bundles not exceeding 4 ft. and 50 lbs. total.  The ordinance also requires that containers/bundles MUST be curbside by 6:00 am on the day of your pickup and that the garbage containers be removed from the curb by the end of the day.   PIZZA boxes and STYROFOAM are considered garbage.
 
WALDWICK ADULT SERVICES CLINIC - Hosted by our Public Health Nurse, clinics are held the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, Waldwick Health Center, 22 Whites Lane (behind Waldwick Ambulance Corps) Waldwick.  Free blood pressure screenings, health and nutrition information and more are available. Flu shots are also available during at the clinic.  No appointment necessary. Questions?
