My Dear Neighbors & Friends,
 
Thanksgiving, a cherished American holiday filled with tradition, is the perfect opportunity to give thanks for the blessings and freedoms that we enjoy every day. It is a time to be grateful and think about all the special people who have touched our lives. It is a time to cherish the good memories we have and look ahead with hope, peace and joy to the future.
 
As we enjoy Thanksgiving and the long weekend in the comfort of our homes, surrounded by our family and friends, let us remember with gratitude our dedicated men and women serving in the military, as they sacrifice to protect our freedoms, at home and in distant lands.
 
Let us reach out to those in our community who are less fortunate than we are. In some way, let us help them, for “it is better to give than to receive.”
 
Let us express our appreciation to all our Borough Employees, who do an exceptional job in our community, meeting our needs and those of our neighbors through prompt, responsive and outstanding service.
 
The strength of any community comes from its residents. Let us be thankful that we have active and caring residents who are deeply involved in Waldwick and who take pride in our community.
 
Let us also remember those who will not be sitting at our table this year, leaving an empty chair: “Your memory is my keepsake with which we never part. God has you in his keeping, I have you in my heart.”
 
May your Thanksgiving be filled with traditions that uplift you, prayers that inspire you and family and friends who love and appreciate you.
 
May the beauty and blessings of Thanksgiving bring warmth and peace to you and your home and may the good things in life be yours in abundance, not only at Thanksgiving, but throughout the coming year.
