Las Cruces police are continuing to investigate a shooting that critically injured a 14-year-old boy.
Shortly after midnight on Tuesday, Nov. 26, police and fire were dispatched to the report of a gunshot victim on the 2200 block of north Alameda Boulevard. Officers arrived to find a 14-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to his head.
The victim was airlifted to University Medical Center of El Paso with critical injuries. The teenager is currently in critical but stable condition at UMC.
Investigators are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (575) 526-0795.
