Felony OWI Arrest - 8th Offense 
On Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at approximately 5:32 PM a Middleton Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle based on a traffic complaint reported to dispatch. The driver was identified as Dawn Jessie, 56 years old, of Middleton. The officer noted a strong odor of intoxicants and open intoxicants within the vehicle. Jessie admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages and possessing open intoxicants while driving.
Jessie was put through field sobriety testing and subsequently arrested for 8th offense Operating a Motor Vehicle While intoxicated (OWI), which is a felony. Jessie was transported to the Dane County Jail where she was booked on the tentative charge of 8th offense OWI and cited for operating after revocation and open intoxicants in a motor vehicle.
