Please be advised, on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Jekyll Island Authority will conduct a controlled burn on small patches of forest located on Oleander golf course at the Jekyll Island Golf Club.
The burn does not pose any threat to nearby homes or structures. Oleander golf course will be closed for maintenance on this day.
All burn plans have been approved by Georgia Forestry and will be managed and monitored by the Jekyll Island Fire department and the JIA Conservation team.
