Petaluma Police Honor Lisa Vincak’s 20 Years of Service Records Technician and Parking Enforcement Officer to Retire

Petaluma, CA - The Petaluma Police Department is proud to announce that Records Assistant II Lisa Vincak will be retiring from her more than twenty-year public service career.  Lisa began her career with the City on July 26, 1999 as a Records Assistant I where she worked in a variety of roles within the Records Team.  As a Petaluma community member, she has always given her best to the City and the Department.
On April 15, 2001, Lisa decided to move from inside the building to the serving outside the building and transferred to the Traffic Team as a Parking Enforcement Officer.  She served with distinction for more than ten years and was a mentor and trainer to others who would join her team.  During her tenure with the Traffic Team, she would help Public Works improve the appearance and use of the Keller Street parking garage.  She was also recognized for expanding enforcement efforts outside of the downtown area to improve the level of service to other areas of the city.  She was recognized for her teamwork, enforcement proactivity, winning attitude, and desire to help others.  Lisa always looked for ways to be more helpful and expand her own skills and knowledge.  One of her most significant contributions to the organization was recognized in 2003 when she became active with the Community Academy alumni.  She worked with group to train the volunteers to help with special events like parades and safety fairs.
In July 2011, Lisa would return to the Records Team when she transferred back inside the building to assume the role of Records Technician II where she continues to serve today.  Lisa continued to demonstrate a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and sense of teamwork.  Her teamwork and winning attitude were recognized when her team was faced with significant staffing and workload challenges.  Lisa made a statement at a team meeting, “If anyone can do it, we can!”
Lisa has always exemplified our performance principles of professionalism, teamwork, leadership, organizational excellence, community, and a winning attitude.  She has been an exceptional friend and coworker to many and her presence within our organization will be greatly missed.
Lisa’s last day of work will be this Thursday, November 21, 2019.  Please join me in thanking Lisa for her distinguished service to the City and our community and congratulating her on her well-deserved retirement.
