A single vehicle fatal traffic collision occurred on Sunday, November 17th at La Mesa Road and Pacoima Road

INVOLVED PARTY: Roscoe Joseph Johnson, age 34 a resident of Victorville
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, November 17, 2019, at approximately 3:55 PM, deputies from the Victorville Station, rescue personnel from the Victorville City Fire Department and paramedics from American Medical Response responded to a single vehicle traffic collision involving a motorcycle on La Mesa Road, east of Pacoima Road. Deputies determined a red Honda motorcycle was traveling westbound on La Mesa Road from El Evado Road. For reasons still under investigation, the motorcycle rider lost control of the motorcycle and struck a curb, ejecting the rider. The motorcycle rider was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators are looking into whether drugs, alcohol, or vehicle speed were factors in the collision. La Mesa Road in the area of the collision was closed in both directions for several hours while investigators processed the scene for evidence and interviewed witnesses.
