Incident:                     Traffic Collision into Starbucks Coffee Store

Incident Summary:
 
On the above date and time, Petaluma PD and Petaluma FD were dispatched to a report of a vehicle collision into the Starbucks Coffee Store on East Washington Street.  It was determined that a vehicle driving eastbound on East Washington collided with the building.  There were two customers seated at a table inside the store and were struck by the vehicle.   One victim was treated and released at the scene, the other victim was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries.  The vehicle, a Honda Accord, was occupied by a solo female driver.  The driver stated they were speeding, and in order to avoid a collision, they made an unsafe lane change and lost control of the vehicle.  The driver was uninjured.  The collision is still under investigation.  Anyone that witnessed the collision should contact Traffic Officer Mario Giomi at 707-778-4372.
