Wilmington Police make several arrests following drug investigation:
Wilmington Police have arrested several individuals following a drug investigation.
On November 14 at approximately 10:03 a.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division, along with the Uniformed Services Division, executed a search warrant in the 200 block of West 35th Street. Police took 21-year-old Jerinha Ward and 22-year-old Monazha Scott into custody without incident. While on scene, police observed the third subject, 20-year-old Jermar Ward in the area. Ward fled on foot as officers attempted to make contact with him, but was quickly taken into custody.
Police recovered 28.3 pounds of Marijuana, a loaded .45 caliber handgun, ammunition and drug paraphernalia.
Jermar Ward was charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Conspiracy (2nd degree)
- Resisting Arrest
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Jerniha Ward was charged with the Following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Conspiracy (2nd degree)
- Resisting Arrest
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Monazha Scott was charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Conspiracy (2nd degree)
- Resisting Arrest
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
