SUSPECT(S): Darrel Griffin, age 42; Adelina Rosales, age 36 both residents of San Bernardino
SUMMARY:
On November 13, 2019, at approximately 1:24 p.m., Deputies Price and Crouch were conducting a security check around the Glen Helen Rehabilitation Center when they observed a male subject, later identified as Darrell Griffin, dropping off a female subject, later identified as Adelina Rosales, in a driveway across from the Inmate Work Release office. Deputies made contact with Griffin after he parked his vehicle. He was found to be on felony probation and a search of his vehicle was conducted. During the search, deputies located a gun under the driver seat and a safe in the trunk that contained an additional handgun. A records check of the recovered weapons, was conducted and deputies determined one of the guns was reported stolen from a burglary in September of 2019 and the other gun was not registered. Darrell Griffin was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia. No drugs were located however, Griffin was in possession of multiple syringes, scales and a small amount of cash.
Adelina Rosales was contacted when she left the Work Release building and was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
Griffin and Rosales were found to be on probation for possession of a stolen vehicle. They were both booked into the Central Detention Center.
