Suspicious Person at Irvington Community Center Tuesday Afternoon
On Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at 2:50 p.m., patrol officers responded to the Irvington Community Center regarding a suspicious person. The caller reported to dispatchers that a male told a young child at the playground that he had guns and wanted to injure someone. Officers searched the area for the male who was described as Asian, approximately 17-20 years old wearing a black hoodie, black bandanna and carrying a black bag. Officers were not able to locate the man at the time.
Officers continue to actively investigate the case and are following up on possible leads based on similarities to the suspect's description. There was no weapon seen and it’s unknown if this individual was suffering from a mental health issue at the time.
