Earlier this morning, at about 2:30 a.m., patrol officers found trespassed vehicles in the 400 block of Harmony Dr. and 0-100 block of South Sycamore Ln. Someone had entered the vehicles and strewn items about but nothing appeared missing. A short time later, officers located a suspicious subject in the 300 block of John St., just a couple blocks away from the trespassed vehicles.
In the suspect's possession were the following items: a gallon size plastic bag with change, a donation can (with change) for a social service organization for teens in Indiana, 3 silver earrings, a cactus keychain, a gold watch, and a white tooth crown/cap. (Yes, you read that right.) Since the suspect could not be linked to any crimes, the items were photographed and he was released.
At 7:13 a.m., we also took a car burglary report in the 2400 block of Imgrund Rd., where a tripod and two measuring wheels were taken from a tool box, but this case is probably not related to the other two.
