Newark Police Officers Hart and Silva Escort Two Students to Devil's Game as Part of P.K. Subban's Blueline Buddies Program
New Jersey Devils defenseman P.K. Subban welcomed two Newark students as guests of yesterday's Devils game against the Ottawa Senators as part of his Blueline Buddies program.
Escorted by Newark Police Officers A. Hart and J. Silva during the game at the Prudential Center, students Justin Hayward, a 10th grader at East Side High School, and Nicolas Rodriguez, a 5th Grader at Ann Street School, were treated to dinner at Legends, the Prudential Center's restaurant, along with VIP tickets for the hockey match.
P.K. personally greeted the students, giving each of them one of his No. 76 Devils Jerseys as gifts.
Subban founded Blueline Buddies during his tenure with the Nashville Predators. Because his best friend is a police officer, Subban believes youth and law enforcement building a rapport with one another is vital.
A great time was had by all. We thank P.K. Subban and his Blueline Buddies Program for offering Newark students this exciting opportunity.
