Thank you to everyone for your assistance in avoiding the area. Travis EOD responded out and removed the grenade. The grenade did appear to be an actual live device. Officers will investigate the incident and attempt to determine how the grenade ended up behind the business. There is no specific information or leads available at this time.
The area is safe again and everyone can resume normal business.

Please avoid the 600 block of Beck Ave near Cadenasso Drive. A potentially live hand grenade has been located to the rear of a business. The business and surrounding location has been evacuated. We are in contact with a partnering explosive disposal team to assist in removing the device and/or making it safe.
