Wilmington Police have arrested a woman and a Philadelphia man on drug charges.

On November 8 at approximately 10:07 p.m., member of the Safe Streets Task Force were in the 1300 block of B Street when they observed a suspicious vehicle with two occupants.  Officers made contact with the driver, 43-year-old Jeffrey Rose of Philadelphia and the passenger, 35-year-old Latesha Aponte.  Both subjects were found to have outstanding capiases and were taken into custody without incident. 

Police recovered 1,022 Ecstasy pills and 20 Xanax bars.
Rose was charged with the following offenses:

• Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance
• Possession of a Controlled Substance

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $40,000 secured bail.
Aponte was charged with the following offenses:

• Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)

She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $2,000 unsecured bail.
