Wilmington Police arrest man for discharging firearm: 
Wilmington Police have arrested a man for discharging a firearm.
On November 8 at approximately 10:32 a.m., police responded to the 700 block of North Franklin Street for a shots fired complaint. Upon arrival, police made contact with 27-year-old Xavier Nelson. It was determined that Nelson had discharged a firearm within a residence. Police took Nelson into custody without incident and recovered a .300 caliber rifle as well as ammunition. There were no injuries in connection with this incident.
Nelson was charged with the following:
- Discharging a Firearm within City Limits
- Tampering with Physical Evidence
