INVOLVED PERSON: Mariano Hernandez, 77-years-old approximate height 5’8”, thin build, he was last seen wearing a cowboy hat, gray-colored sweater, red shirt with black stripes, blue jeans, and brown colored shoes.
Summary:
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department-Central Patrol Station is requesting the public’s assistance locating a critical missing adult last seen in Muscoy.
On Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at 11:19 a.m., Mariano Hernandez, a 77-year old Hispanic male adult diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, walked away from his residence located at the 2200 block of W. Darby St. Muscoy. Hernandez is a Spanish speaker; he recently moved to the area and lives with his adult son, who reported him missing.
Hernandez was described as a Hispanic male adult, approximately height 5’8”, thin build, he was last seen wearing a cowboy hat, gray-colored sweater, red shirt with black stripes, blue jeans, and brown colored shoes. Hernandez does not own or drive a vehicle; he was last seen walking near Macy St. and Darby St. in Muscoy.
The Sheriff’s Department has continued to search the area until he is located and reunited with his family. All surrounding hospitals and law enforcement agencies have been notified, and the California Highway Patrol initiated a Silver Alert. The Silver Alert provides immediate information to the public about the critical missing adult, including images or descriptions and the time and location last seen to speed the process to locate the person and return them to safety. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to call 911.
