Potential Weather Impacts this Week

Here are the key messages about the weather this week.
1. We expect a system to bring widespread light rain changing over to light snow across portions of northern New Jersey and northeastern Pennsylvania. Snow accumulation is generally expected to be less than one half of an inch with the exception of the higher terrain of the Poconos where up to 2 inches will be possible. We do not expect widespread measurable snowfall across central and southern New Jersey, or the DelMarVa Peninsula although a few wet flakes could mix in with light rain late Tuesday.
2. Cold temperatures for November along with strong gusty winds will be moving in behind the system that brings the chance for light snow. The combination of strong winds and cold temperatures will bring wind chills down into the single digits early Wednesday morning. Wind chills will rise into the low 20s mid day on Wednesday before dropping back down into the teens Wednesday evening
