SUBJECT: Underage Drinking Party

LOCATION: Wenning Court, Oakhurst Section of Ocean Township
OFFICERS: Officers Polanco, Schoch, Lester, Bones, Barnak, Detectives Legg and Walker and Sergeant Morgan.
NARRATIVE: On November 8, 2019 at approximately 9:14 pm, patrol officers were dispatched to Wenning Court for a report of a suspicious incident. Upon arrival the Officers observed a large amount of juveniles in the area. One of the juveniles reported that a fight had occurred and a weapon may have been involved. The officers made entry into the residence in an attempt to locate the subjects involved in the fight. They located a juvenile with an injury to his face and first aid was dispatched. While inside the residence, there was evidence that the juveniles were consuming alcoholic beverages and all of the people within the residence were under the legal age to possess alcohol. All of the juveniles on scene were held in protective custody until a parent or guardian could respond to pick them up. The subject who hosted the party was taken into protective custody as well and later released. Two township ordinance summons were issued for underage consumption of alcohol.
