**UPD** #LASD Detectives are Asking for Your Help Identifying/Locating an Attempted Kidnapping Suspect, #Willowbrook

Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Century Station investigated an alleged attempt kidnapping involving a 31 year old male and a 14 year old female.  The female reported an unknown male adult approached her on the street and attempted to pull her into an apartment building.  The female eluded the male and she later reported the incident to Century Station.

Detectives identified and detained the male in question.  During the investigation, detectives found several discrepancies in the female’s account of the event.  The female later admitted to detectives she fabricated the entire event and conceded the male never attempted to kidnap her.

The male remained cooperative throughout the investigation.  After determining no crime had occurred, the male was released from custody, and no criminal charges were sought.
