LOCATION: Roberds St. and Napa Ave.
SUSPECT: Carlos Vega, 24-years-old of Perris
SUMMARY:
Deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department were dispatched to the area of Roberds St. and Napa Ave. regarding a suspicious male in the area. Witnesses reported the subject was knocking on doors and checking door handles to vehicles in the neighborhood. When deputies arrived on scene, they observed a male adult, later identified as Carlos Vega, walking in the area. Deputies ordered Vega to stop but he did not comply and fled on foot. Deputies pursued him and attempted to take him into custody. Vega resisted arrest but was ultimately detained. Upon further investigation, deputies found Vega in possession of a fixed blade and methamphetamine. He was also found to be on parole. Vega was arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center where he remains in custody on several charges including a no-bail parole hold.
