SUBJECT: Non-Fatal Shooting Incident

LOCATION: Sunset Avenue in the Wanamassa section of Ocean Township
NARRATIVE: On November 5, 2019 at approximately 3:45 am, patrol officers were dispatched to Sunset Avenue near Walnut Avenue for a report of shots fired. A short time later, a victim was located at a local hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. During the follow up investigation, Ocean Detectives were able to identify a suspect in the incident. The vehicle that was possibly involved during the incident was located as well as the suspect. The case is still ongoing and more information will be released when it becomes available. There is no known danger to the public at this time.
