Report of single vehicle accident nets arrest of Princeton woman on DUI charge. 
On November 2, 2019, at 12:30 a.m. Deputy U.B. Smith was dispatched to a single vehicle accident on State Road 64 near County Road 400 East. Upon arriving Deputy Smith spoke with the driver 21-year-old Mackenzie Lewis of Princeton and upon speaking with her he detected the strong odor of alcohol coming from her breath. At that point Deputy Smith began a roadside DUI investigation. At the conclusion of his investigation Deputy Smith had probable cause to believe that Ms. Lewis drover her Silver 2013 Kia Optima off the roadway while intoxicated. At that point Deputy Smith placed Ms. Lewis into custody and transported her to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Ms. Lewis was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. She has since posted a $650 bond.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
