Tornado Warning

Tornado Warning in effect until 12 AM. GET IN, GET DOWN, COVER UP. Take shelter ASAP in a basement or interior room with few or no windows on the lowest level of your home.
 
- Stay informed. Tune in to local news/weather radio frequently for weather updates. Remember to GET IN, GET DOWN, COVER UP. 
 
- If you are in a vehicle/mobile home, seek stronger shelter. 
 
- If you are outside, seek shelter. Lie flat in a ditch. Cover your head with your hands. Do not get under an overpass/bridge. Never attempt to outrun a tornado. 
 
The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a
 
* Tornado Warning for...
Southeastern Montgomery County in southeastern Pennsylvania...
East central Chester County in southeastern Pennsylvania...
Philadelphia County in southeastern Pennsylvania...
Northeastern Delaware County in southeastern Pennsylvania...
 
* Until midnight EDT.
 
* At 1132 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
tornado was located over Gradyville, or 9 miles east of West
Chester, moving northeast at 50 mph.
 
HAZARD...Tornado.
 
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
 
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
 
* Locations impacted include...
Philadelphia, Conshohocken, Palmyra, Hatboro, Ambler, Jenkintown,
Narberth, Rockledge, Abington, Bryn Athyn, Wissinoming, Willow
Grove, Morris Park, Germantown, Northeast Philadelphia, Center
City, Bryn Mawr, Trout Lake, Tacony and Radnor Township.
 
This includes Interstate 95 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 26
and 33.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
 
TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.
 
Tornadoes are extremely difficult to see and confirm at night. Do not
wait to see or hear the tornado. TAKE COVER NOW!
