JCP&L Safety Message for Halloween: 

Jersey Central Power and Light has experienced several outages caused by vehicle accidents involving utility poles over the last 48 hours. It is unclear as to the cause of the accidents, but wet leaves and roadways may be a contributing factor. Please be aware of these conditions when driving and even more aware of children who may be trick or treating in your community today.  

Forecasted high winds may cause trees limbs to fall, causing damage to utility poles and equipment. Please report all JCP&L related concerns immediately and treat all downed wires as if they are live.
