...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY EXPANDED NORTHEAST TO INCLUDE WILL...DUPAGE...AND COOK COUNTIES... .A period of moderate to at times heavy wet snow is expected to impacts portions of the early morning commute, creating a period of hazardous driving conditions due to reduced visibilities and slick roads.
* WHAT...Heavy, wet snow expected. Total snow accumulations of two to four inches, with isolated amounts over 4 inches possible.
* WHERE...DuPage and Will Counties.
* WHEN...Through 10 AM CDT today, with the period of highest snowfall rates between 2 and 7 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Though accumulations are expected to be on primarily grassy and elevated surfaces, periods of moderate to heavy snow may result in slushy conditions on untreated roadways, especially those that are less traveled. This may result in a period of hazardous travel during the morning rush hour.
