PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) : Tuesday at 10:00PM, Affecting Parts of San Leandro's "Broadmoor" Neighborhood

The City of San Leandro has received new information from PG&E regarding Tuesday night’s Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) event, stating that it will occur as early at 10:00PM, and will affect portions of the Broadmoor residential neighborhood in northern San Leandro.

Due to red flag warnings, and as a precaution, lower Chabot Park, accessible from Daniels Drive in San Leandro will remain closed through Thursday, October 31st.     

Residents are encouraged to check their address on PG&E’s website to see if they will be affected by navigating to the following PG&E website and entering their address:  https://psps.ss.pge.com

Residents are reminded to be prepared.  Charge your cell phones, have flashlights and spare batteries available, and transfer refrigerated and frozen food items to places such as coolers or other containers that will preserve the items.  

San Leandro will continue to update its residents and businesses as we receive new information.  In addition to monitoring local news media, PG&E updates and the PG&E website, please follow the City of San Leandro and its Police Department on the following social media channels:

It is recommended that residents and business owners check their PG&E account information online, verify that account information is current, and update anything that has recently changed.  This should assist PG&E in notifying their customers of future PSPS events.
