It appears that most, if not all, of the power is back on in Moraga.  The repowering process takes time to inspect all of the lines and repair any damage before they can "flip the switch."  Thank you to all of you for your patience and understanding through this time.

There is one more Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) scheduled for tonight at 10:00 p.m.  It is scheduled to end tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m. The only portion of Moraga that is affected is the south end of the Moraga Country Club in Moraga.  Since this area was just inspected, the repowering process will hopefully be quick.

Please take this opportunity to consider how you and your family are prepared for a disaster.  This was just a power outage.  How would you do in an earthquake when our power may be off for days or weeks, as well as other utilities and services being compromised???  Please review the Wildfire Evacuation Guide that was mailed to all Lamorinda addresses a few months ago for information.  Also, check out the Lamorinda CERT website, which has really good information about emergency preparedness and supplies (www.lamorindacert.org).
