UPDATE: PG&E PSPS Power Outage Delayed in Lafayette to 7:00 p.m. Today, Saturday, Oct. 26th

Post Date:10/26/19 at 3:09 pm.

Power Shutoff Delayed Until 7:00 pm.

PG&E is constantly monitoring the extreme weather patterns and has adjusted the estimated time for the Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) to 7:00 pm.  This time may change again, but this is the latest and best information that we have.
It is now anticipated that the extreme weather pattern will clear out of the area by Monday, October 28th at 8:00 am.   While this is later than the earlier estimate, it should not have an effect as staff needs to inspect the power lines in daylight so they can see if there is any damage or issues.   The 8:00 am time is the end of the weather event power will begin to come on in phases.   There is no specific time of when the lines will be energized.
PG&E continues to monitor weather models and may change the timing of the power shutoff and the duration of the expected PSPS event. However, please prepare to be without power for up to 48 hours if you are in an outage area.  You can determine if your address is affected on PG&E’s website at https://psps.ss.pge.com/.  Other important resources can be found on the City’s PSPS Preparation webpage here: http://bit.ly/LafayettePSPS
Updates will be posted to the City’s Website (https://www.lovelafayette.org/
