...A Flash Flood Watch is in Effect for Portions of the Midsouth... .A slow-moving upper level low pressure will bring periods of moderate to occasionally heavy rainfall to the Midsouth through Saturday morning. Rainfall totals of 3 to 4 inches will be possible, with isolated 5 inches possible. Rivers and streams may flood adjacent low-lying areas, and urban areas may experience localized street flooding. The Flash Flood Watch covers Eastern Arkansas, the Missouri Bootheel, and portions of West Tennessee and North Mississippi. The National Weather Service in Memphis has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include portions of East Arkansas, Southeast Missouri, and West Tennessee, including the following areas, in East Arkansas, Clay, Craighead, Cross, Greene, Mississippi, and Poinsett. In Southeast Missouri, Dunklin and Pemiscot. In West Tennessee, Crockett, Dyer, Fayette, Gibson, Haywood, Lake, Lauderdale, Obion, Tipton, and Weakley.

* From 7 PM CDT this evening through Saturday morning

* 3 to 4 inches of rain, with local amounts to 5 inches possible through Saturday morning.

* Low-lying areas near rivers and streams may flood. Urban areas may experience localized street flooding.
