The box pictured is ALWAYS kept in a secure hallway near the front desk. You can come in and drop off into THAT box 24x7x365. Tomorrow, Lt Michel Goins will have larger boxes ready for you to drop off unwanted, expired or no longer needed medicines and prescription drugs - no questions asked, no paperwork required. Currently this stationary box is not set up to collect vape devices or cartridges. We will let you know if that changes in the future.
FAQ:
> All vape devices and cartridges will be accepted by the DEA during this one day event, October 26, 2019.
> Leave all prescriptions in their original container until you arrive.
> You can drop the whole container, or remove the medicine and keep the labels/bottles if you prefer.
> We can NOT accept needles/sharps, syringes, thermometers, IV bags, bloody or infectious waste, personal care products, empty containers, inhalers, and/or medical equipment.
> LT Goins will be outside the department front entrance tomorrow (Saturday October 26, 2019) between 10AM and 2PM.
> All items dropped off will be destroyed safely.
> Fushing items down the toilet is NOT safe for the environment.
> Throwing unwanted medicines in the trash is not safe for sanitation workers or the environment.
