On Sunday, 10/27/2019, the Halloween Half Marathon will be held in Morristown and Morris Township. The race route is 13.1 miles long and will begin and end in Morristown. Mt. Kemble Ave. northbound will be closed for approximately 30 minutes at the start of the race, 9:00 am, at Harter Rd. An established detour will be in place during this time. Southbound Mt. Kemble will be closed for only ten minutes at the start of the race to accommodate the safe passage of runners onto the roadway, and then will open to SB traffic. MacCulloch Ave. will be detoured at the conclusion of the event, around Farragut Pl. and Oak St. An established detour will be in place to circumvent the affected portion of MacCulloch Ave. Ogden Pl. will also convert to one-way traffic near the conclusion of the event, with vehicles being permitted to share the road with the race participants, westbound only. Uniformed officers will be on hand in these locations to assist motorists and race participants, and will make every effort to accommodate residents attempting to access the neighborhood during gaps in the field.
