Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose reports that police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the below pictured suspect in connection with a business burglary that occurred on Thursday, October 17, 2019.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., an individual broke into a beauty salon located at 63 Jefferson Street, broke the cash register and stole some $300.00 before fleeing.

The suspect is described as wearing a two-tone jacket, gloves and a hat.

While police are actively searching for this suspect, we seek the public’s help in quickly identifying him so he can be removed from our streets.

Director Ambrose urges anyone with information about this suspect to call the Department's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
