A good portion of north and central Georgia has a marginal risk for severe weather after ~8PM Monday evening through ~12PM (noon) Tuesday. According to the National Weather Service, we're not expecting a major outbreak, however, pockets of damaging wind along with brief, spin-up tornadoes are possible.

Timing:
● North & west of I-85 (including Atlanta metro): between 8PM Monday and 8AM Tuesday ● South & east of I-85 (including Columbus/Macon): between 12AM (midnight) and 12PM (noon) Tuesday
Primary Threat(s):
● Strong to damaging winds -- 40-60 MPH w/ isolated higher gusts possible
● Locally heavy rain -- up to 1" rain in less than an hour which could create nuisance flooding of low lying/poor drainage and urban areas
● Frequent Cloud to Ground Lightning
● Brief spin-up tornadoes (lesser threat but risk still exists)
