Clean it out and drop it off! National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is Saturday, October 26th. RX Take-Back Day is a safe, convenient, and responsible way to dispose of your unused or expired prescription drugs. Old and unused prescription medications are a public safety issue, leading to accidental poisoning, overdose, and abuse. Pharmaceutical drugs can be just as dangerous as street drugs when taken without a prescription or a doctor’s supervision.

The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. On the last Take-Back Day in April 2019, nearly 470 tons (more than 935,000 pounds) of unused or expired medications were collected nationwide.

You can drop off pills and patches at either of our stations between 10 am and 2 pm on the 26th. Please note that we are unable to accept liquids or sharps. Our Larkspur station is located at 250 Doherty Drive and our San Anselmo station is at 525 San Anselmo Avenue.
