At approximately 2:56 pm this afternoon, HWDPS officers responded to the 18900 block of Woodcrest for a report of “shots fired inside a house.” Upon arrival, officers were able to determine that NO shots had been fired. During the investigation, it was discovered that an armed robbery occurred inside the location. The victim, a 21-year-old Southfield resident, is not cooperating with authorities at this time. No injuries were reported. We believe this incident was isolated and that the victim was targeted. One person was arrested on unrelated charges.
Beacon Elementary was briefly placed on lockdown until officers determined the area was secure.
