Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose requests the public’s help in locating Carlos Gordon, 25, of Neptune, who is wanted for questioning in an incident involving a suspect vehicle connected to the discharge of a firearm on Wednesday, September 18, 2019.

Police responded to the 800 block of South Orange Avenue on a ShotSpotter notification at 11 p.m. No injuries were reported.

Detectives investigating this incident are seeking Gordon for questioning and ask for the public’s help in quickly locating him.

Director Ambrose urges anyone with information about the whereabouts of Carlos Gordon to call the Department's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477) or 1-877-NWK-GUNS (1-877-695-4867). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
